Dyslexia Resources
Glascock County Consolidated School is committed to supporting students who may experience characteristics of dyslexia. Dyslexia is a language-based learning difference that can affect reading, spelling, writing, and language development. Early identification and intervention are essential to helping students build strong literacy skills and achieve academic success.
GCCS utilizes screening processes, evidence-based instructional practices, and differentiated support aligned with the Science of Reading to meet students' individual needs. For students identified with dyslexia or related reading difficulties, structured literacy instruction, accommodations, and additional supports may be provided as appropriate.
We value collaboration among educators, families, and support staff to ensure every student receives the tools and opportunities needed to become a confident reader. Parents with questions or concerns about their child's reading development are encouraged to contact their child's teacher or school administration for additional information and support.
