Superintendent
As the Superintendent of Glascock County School System, it is my honor to welcome you to our school community. My journey with GCCS began in 2003, and over the years, I have had the privilege of serving in various capacities, including as a special education teacher, special education director, and federal programs director. These roles have given me a deep understanding of our school system's needs and a profound appreciation for the dedication and commitment of our staff, students, and families.
Our mission at GCCS is to provide a nurturing and challenging educational environment that empowers all students to reach their full potential. We believe that the teacher-student relationship is a critical piece to student achievement. To this end, all teachers are expected to know their students’ strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. By understanding and addressing the unique needs of each student, we can foster an environment where every student feels valued, supported, and inspired to achieve academic excellence and personal growth.
You have entrusted Glascock County Schools with your child’s education and future, and we take this responsibility very seriously. We are dedicated to providing them with the best possible learning experience in a safe and comfortable environment. Our teachers are working harder than ever to ensure that students learn, but teachers cannot do their jobs effectively without the support of parents. Therefore, I would like to encourage parents to get involved in Glascock County Schools. Your involvement is crucial to creating a partnership that supports our students' success.
As we embark on another exciting school year, I am committed to working collaboratively with our educators, staff, and families to build on our successes and address our challenges. Together, we can create a positive and enriching environment where every student can thrive.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. I look forward to a fantastic year ahead!
