Lady Panthers Softball

Congratulations to the Lady Panthers for defeating the ECI Lady Bulldogs in a two game series on Wednesday, October 19th.  (8-7 in game 1 and 12-4 in game 2).

The Lady Panthers now advance to the Elite 8 in the GHSA Fast Pitch State Tournaments.  The Lady Panthers will be traveling to Columbus on Thursday, October 27th to continue their journey in the state playoffs!

Red Ribbon Week

GCCS will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week from Monday, October 24 through Friday, October 28.  October is also bullying prevention month.  Points can be earned by participating in the many activities throughout the week to celebrate Red Ribbon Week and Bullying Prevention Month.  On Friday, points will be totaled per grade.  A winning grade will be determined at the elementary, middle, and high school level.  Winning grades will receive an ice cream party.


Daily Activities
1 point will be given for each student who participates

Monday:  “Don’t let drugs tie you down!” Everyone wear tie-dye and/or a crazy tie. 

Tuesday:  “Sock it to drugs and bullying day!” Everyone wear crazy socks.

Wednesday:  “Give drugs and bullying the boot day.” Wear your favorite boots.

Thursday:  “Team up against drugs and bullying day.” Wear a jersey/shirt to support your favorite sports team.

Friday:  Everyone wear red in support of a drug and bully free school.
