GCCS fifth grade students presented four trees to Mr. Lovering as a gift to our Glascock County Elementary Playground and in appreciation for GCCS helping to promote conservation in the school and community.  The fifth grade also expressed appreciation for our administration providing the opportunity for Grades K-5 to celebrate Read Across America Day with a special field trip to a private screening of “The Lorax” at the Augusta Exchange Stadium 20 Theaters in Augusta, Georgia.

A special thank you to Mr. Sam Bowen and his Ag students, as they demonstrated to the fifth grade the proper method of planting trees.  His expertise and the valuable help of his students made this experience more rewarding.

GCCS takes pride in the dedication of its faculty, staff, and students, and the ongoing support of parents and community members.

Dual Enrollment

Glascock County Consolidated School offers many dual enrollment opportunities for students. Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit courses provide opportunities for Georgia high school students to take college-level courses and earn concurrent credit toward a high school diploma and a college degree. Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit courses are primarily available for any eligible 11th or 12th grade (in some limited cases 9th-10th) high school students. They may enroll full-time or part-time in approved credit-bearing college-level courses by the State Board of Education. Courses may be taken before, during or after regular school hours, on the college campus, on-line or at the high school during the regular school day.

Participation in Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit programs ease the transition from high school to college, provide students an early start on their college careers, and offer meaningful and challenging academic experiences to qualified students, including those who might not otherwise have access to early college opportunities.  Students and/or parents interested in any of the following activities should see school counselor, Ann Cantrell.  For more information, click here
