Solar Eclipse

The Glascock County School System is revising its previous plans regarding the solar eclipse on August 21st.  After studying the risks involved and in an abundance of caution, the school system will observe Monday, August 21st as a professional learning day for faculty and staff only.   There will be no school on Monday, August 21st for students.  Teachers will continue to provide eclipse related instruction which will include eclipse safety.

Eclipse viewing glasses may be made available later this week after additional vetting measures.  Additional information will be provided as it is available.
